Guidera collapsed in the living room of his Southern California home on May 11, when his heart abruptly stopped beating, according to his wife, Valarie Anderson. He was transported to a nearby hospital and placed on life support, where he remained for three weeks as doctors worked to determine what had triggered the cardiac event. He was ultimately removed from life support per his prior directive and brought home for a natural death.
Medical professionals were unable to determine what triggered the cardiac arrest, Anderson told TMZ, leaving the family without answers. The circumstances surrounding his collapse remain unresolved even after his passing.
