Donald Trump announced the engagement of his son, Donald Trump Jr., and Bettina Anderson at the White House on December 15, 2025. The announcement marks the third engagement for the 47-year-old eldest son of the president. Andrew Surabian, a spokesperson for Trump Jr., confirmed the engagement. Anderson also offered remarks at the event.

Trump Jr. and Anderson were first linked in August 2024. By December 2024, the couple had been dating for about six months. Anderson attended the Republican National Convention in July 2024, appearing alongside Trump Jr. at the political gathering.

The Palm Beach, Florida, socialite was born in December 1986 to Harry Loy Anderson Jr. and Inger Anderson. She became the bank president of Worth Avenue National Bank at the age of 26. Anderson graduated from Columbia University in 2009 and founded The Paradise Fund, a nonprofit organization.

Trump Jr. was previously married to Vanessa Trump. The couple married in November 2005 and separated in 2018. Vanessa filed for divorce in March 2018. They share five children: Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe. Following his separation from Vanessa, Trump Jr. became engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle in 2020. Guilfoyle is now the US ambassador to Greece.

This is Trump Jr.’s third engagement. The engagement to Anderson represents a new chapter for the president’s son, who has maintained a prominent role in political and business circles.

The White House announcement was made by President Trump himself, highlighting the significance of the family moment.

In 2026, the couple continued to appear together publicly and attract media attention. They were photographed enjoying a ski weekend mid-February, with Anderson posting photos on social media that emphasized their affectionate status as an engaged pair.

Coverage early in the year also noted public reaction to their engagement, including comments from Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle, who said she was “happy for Don” in remarks to The New York Times. There have been ongoing social reports and speculation about wedding planning, with some outlets suggesting a high-profile celebration might take place at the White House. However, no official date or details have been confirmed.
