A 31-year-old singer, who had just entertained the audience with two songs, met with an unfortunate incident. While navigating the stage, her dress hem got entangled on the stage, causing her to trip. The fall resulted in her hitting her head forcefully against the rigid stage surface.
The singer, who had been alive with energy moments before, lay still as the shocked audience looked on. Staff members responded swiftly, attempting to resuscitate her. Under the bright stage lights, they performed chest compressions, in a desperate bid to revive her.
The artist, despite not feeling well earlier that day, had decided to go on with her performance. She was rushed to a nearby hospital in Chongqing. However, despite the best efforts of the medical team, she succumbed to her injuries.
Local authorities have planned an autopsy to identify the exact cause of death. This will help determine whether the fall was solely responsible for her untimely death or if other health issues contributed.
In a similar incident, 29-year-old Sergiho Murilo Gonçalves Filho, also known as MC Serginho Porradão, a singer from Brazil, lost his life during a performance in Recife, Brazil, last August.
