Monday night, September 25, 2023, brought a shocking discovery when a 66-year-old woman was found dead in her room at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott with a sock in her mouth. The deceased woman was an employee of American Airlines, serving as a flight attendant.

The hotel where the incident surfaced is situated near Philadelphia International Airport, a significant operation hub for American Airlines.

The police identified the deceased women as Diana Ramos on September 28. She had been due to check out of the room two days prior to her body being found. The delay in discovery of her body is yet to be clarified.

The initial inquiry conducted by the police showcased some significant observations. There were no marks suggesting forced entry or an ensuing struggle in the room, generating queries on what caused her death. Alongside this, several bottles of prescription drugs were also located within the room.

The police, in light of the obscure conditions surrounding the case, termed the death as “suspicious.” An autopsy is in process to determine Ramos’s causes of death, which will influence the police scrutiny now in progress.

The investigation, led by the Homicide Detectives Division, is currently ongoing, rigorously examining every possible facet of the incident. They’re particularly focusing on the appearance of the sock found in the flight attendant’s mouth and the ramifications of the discovered prescription medication.
