17-month-old toddler was found dead in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, following a suspected animal attack.

Da’Angelo Manning and another child, aged four, wandered from their home on Winkler Road near Haynesville, Louisiana, on Monday, September 18. Their absence was noted and reported to authorities around 10 a.m.

Upon reaching the scene, the police located the four-year-old with slight injuries. The child received attention from Pafford Emergency Medical Services and was subsequently placed in the care of a guardian.

In a different location north of Kendrick Springs Road, where recent tree removals had taken place, Da’Angelo’s body was found.

Initial information from law enforcement points towards the likelihood of an animal being the cause of Manning’s death. However, they have yet to identify the species. To ascertain the specific reasons for the death, the child’s body has been sent for a medical examination.

Claiborne Parish Sheriff Sam Dowies extended appreciation to various groups for their assistance, which includes the Louisiana State Police, David Wade Correctional Center, volunteer fire departments from Claiborne Parish, and the Pafford Ambulance Service.

To assist with impending funeral costs, a GoFundMe page has been created by Evelyn Ayala, a family member. Impressively, the campaign is already on its way to meeting its goal, having raised over $2,000 of the desired $10,000.

In a heartfelt online post, Angelica Márquez, mother to Da’Angelo Manning, reminisced about moments spent with her son, expressing her deep affection for him and articulating the difficulty of her current circumstances.
