A shocking and bloody scene was found in a Phoenix, Arizona home on Wednesday morning, November 16. Upon arrival at an August Avenue home, police discovered a family of five, including three children, dead.

Police were called to the Phoenix home early Wednesday morning after the family’s babysitter came to the house and found the family members unresponsive and smelled gas.

An entire family, consisting of litigation lawyer Marla Hudgens, 40, dad Jason Hudgens, 44, Christopher, 3, and 6-month-old twin girls, Gwen and Faye, were deceased.

A Hazmat team came to the scene and found open propane tanks and an unattached gas line.

After the Hazmat team said it was safe to enter, police came in to do their investigation.

“Once inside, detectives discovered the bodies of two adults and three children from what are believed to be members of the same family. The bodies had obvious signs of trauma,” police said.

Police believe that the father, Jason Hudgens, killed his wife and children before turning the gun on himself. Friends of the family revealed to local Phoenix media that Marla Hudgens had told her husband she wanted a divorce. A close friend of Mrs. Hudgens said, “We never had any indication from her that she felt scared or threatened or unsafe.”

Neighbors were shocked and said there were no ‘red flags” about Jason Hudgens.

The couple was married in 2013 after having met in high school.
