If you haven’t already heard, Apple sent out a warning on Wednesday and Thursday to users to update their iPhone software due to a “vulnerability” that the company says might have been compromised.

They say that users should update ASAP and said that the vulnerability in the operating system affects most iPhone models, back to the 6S, iPads after 5th generation, iPad Air2 and later, iPad mini 4 and later, all iPad Pro models and the 7th generation iPod touch.

According to Apple’s website, users should install updates iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1.

The company said that hackers could have the ability to take control of the operating system of the device and “execute arbitrary code” which could infiltrate the devices with “maliciously crafted web content.”

Mac computers using Monterey OS are also potentially vulnerable, and Apple’s Safari browser on its Big Sur and Catalina operating systems are also at risk.

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency warned that “an attacker could exploit one of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected device.”
