In a recent incident captured on video, actor Alec Baldwin<\/a> was seen involved in a heated confrontation with a Donald Trump impersonator near his residence in New York City. The impersonator, comedian Jason Scoop, had provoked Baldwin, leading to threats of violence from the actor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The episode<\/a> took place on the night of February 23, 2025, as Baldwin was busy loading his luggage into his SUV. Scoop, donning a navy blue suit and a blonde wig to resemble Trump, approached Baldwin and started taunting him on various issues including the 2024 presidential election results and the “Rust” shooting incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video footage, posted on social media platform X, shows Scoop continuously provoking Baldwin. Initially, Baldwin tries to ignore Scoop and continues with his task, but with each comment from Scoop, Baldwin’s frustration visibly increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baldwin, who portrayed Trump on “Saturday Night Live” and openly supported Kamala Harris in the election, was irked when Scoop brought up Harris’ loss to Trump. However, Scoop’s remarks about the “Rust” shooting tragedy led to Baldwin losing his cool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scoop kept offering Baldwin a “total pardon” for what he called “murdering that woman in cold blood,” referring to cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was fatally shot with a prop gun held by Baldwin on a film set in New Mexico in 2021. Scoop even claimed that Hutchins was “looking down on him, smiling, happy” about the altercation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“If this camera wasn’t on, I would snap your f***ing neck in half and break your f***ing neck right here,” Baldwin<\/a> warned Scoop, after finally confronting him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An agitated Baldwin also mentioned that his children reside in the building and cautioned Scoop to be “real careful.” The Emmy Award-winning actor did not stop there, further saying<\/a>: “Get out of here or else I will shove that camera up your a**.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite Baldwin’s clear threats, Scoop continued his Trump impersonation, even sarcastically labeling Baldwin a “class act” while being warned to leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This incident has sparked renewed public interest in the “Rust” shooting incident, which had initially led to Baldwin being charged with involuntary manslaughter. However, a New Mexico judge dropped the charges in July 2024, officially absolving Baldwin of any criminal responsibility in Hutchins’ death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baldwin has previously expressed that the “Rust” shooting has resulted in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for him. In several interviews, he has voiced deep remorse for Hutchins’ death while asserting that he did not fire the gun and was unaware that it was loaded with live ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not Baldwin’s first public confrontation. In a previous incident, he got into an argument with an anti-Israel protestor in a coffee shop and allegedly smacked the individual’s cellphone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, are parents to seven children. Recently, they allowed TLC cameras into their family home for a reality show, revealing a contrasting side of Baldwin’s persona compared to these public confrontational incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The confrontation between Baldwin and Scoop illustrates that the actor cannot escape the shadow of the “Rust” tragedy, despite the dismissal of the legal case.
