Anchor Maria Bartiromo’s run of more than a decade at Fox News Media ended abruptly on Thursday, September 3, 2026, when the conservative media company cut ties with her and began stripping her name from its schedule and its websites.
The announcement was terse, offered no reason and carried no comment from Bartiromo. “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” the company said. Her Fox Business biography page went dark within minutes, swapped out for an error message saying the person could not be found.
The last edition to carry her name aired Thursday morning on Fox Business Network. Bartiromo had not turned up on any Fox News Media program since August 9, disappearing from her own shows weeks before the split was made public.
Three Shows Lose Her Name
Within hours the network had pulled her name off three programs. “Mornings with Maria” (6-9 a.m. ET) turns into “Mornings with Fox Business” on Friday, September 4, with rotating anchors. “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” (Fridays, 7-7:30 p.m. ET) becomes “FBN’s Wall Street,” anchored this week by Fox Business anchor Cheryl Casone and by rotating hosts afterward. Over on Fox News Channel, Jason Chaffetz anchors “Sunday Morning Futures” (10-11 a.m. ET) on Sunday, September 6, with a permanent host to be announced later. Fox Business said it would roll out a new weekday schedule in the coming weeks.
