On October 5, 2024, the search for Lisa Culp, 53, concluded in tragedy when her lifeless body was discovered on a freeway. The day before, her husband had reported her missing. As her death is assumed to be a result of a hit-and-run incident, investigations are ongoing.
Culp had departed her Chino, California residence early in the morning on October 4. At approximately 9:13 a.m., her husband alerted the authorities about her disappearance. Local law enforcement promptly initiated a comprehensive search, which included hospitals, parks, and other potential areas of interest.
Her silver 2010 Mercedes sedan was found abandoned at a nearby gas station close to the 60 Freeway. According to the Chino Police Department, surveillance footage showed Culp walking away from a gas station and heading north on Central Avenue in the early hours of October 4. Additional video seen on October 5 led to an expansion of the search parameters by the authorities, including the use of drones and off-road vehicles in an attempt to locate her.
Culp’s body was found on the 60 Freeway on October 5. Law enforcement officials stated, “During the search, officers discovered the body of a deceased female on the freeway, which appeared to have been involved in a traffic collision,” as confirmed by official sources.
While the specifics of Culp’s disappearance and subsequent death are still under investigation, the Chino Police Department has clarified that foul play is not currently suspected. They are urging anyone with pertinent information to come forward.
Struggling with their sudden loss, Culp’s family expressed their thanks for the support they received during the search. Her niece, Lana Culp, shared a photograph of her aunt online with a simple, poignant message: “We love you, Aunt Lisa.”
