Spanish actor Julian Ortega, recognized for his role in the Netflix series “Elite,” passed away on August 25, 2024, due to a cardiac arrest at Zahora Beach in Barbate, Spain. The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon.
Initial reports suggested drowning as Ortega collapsed suddenly at the beach. However, later clarification from authorities stated the cause of death was a cardiac arrest. Lifeguards and paramedics on site attempted to resuscitate Ortega for 30 minutes; unfortunately, they pronounced him dead on the scene.
Ortega started gaining prominence in 2018 with his role in “Elite,” where he portrayed the manager of La Cabana restaurant. Although a brief role, it left a significant impression on the audience. Apart from “Elite,” Ortega had a successful acting career with roles in popular Spanish TV shows such as “4 Estrellas,” “The Countryside (El Pueblo),“ “Untameable (Indomable),” and “Velvet.”
Ortega’s acting abilities can be traced back to his education at the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático in Madrid. His talent and dedication made him a respected figure in the Spanish and international acting communities. Ortega was also the son of renowned actress Gloria Muñoz.
