Merkt, known for her vibrant personality and love for life, was originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She was a participant in the 2017 season of “The Bachelor” featuring Nick Viall. In April 2024, Merkt announced via Instagram that she was free of leukemia after undergoing an experimental treatment and a bone marrow transplant. Regrettably, six weeks later, she discovered that her leukemia cells had aggressively returned.
