Professional wrestling icon Sid Vicious, born Sidney Raymond Eudy, haa died at 63 following a long battle with cancer. His son, Gunnar Eudy, confirmed the news on August 26, 2024.

The towering figure of Sid Vicious, standing at 6’9″ and weighing over 300 pounds, dominated the wrestling world for more than three decades. He wrestled in major promotions, including WWE and WCW, under various names such as “Sycho Sid” and “Sid Justice.”

Eudy’s wrestling career started in the late 1980s under the ring name “Lord Humongous” in Continental Championship Wrestling. He rose to prominence after adopting the “Sid Vicious” moniker, quickly becoming a household name in the wrestling community due to his intimidating physical presence and captivating persona.

As Sid Vicious, he twice won the WWE Champion title and the WCW World Heavyweight Champion title, marking him as one of his generation’s most successful wrestlers. His high-profile matches against wrestling legends such as Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker headlined events like WrestleMania VIII and XI.

In 2001, a severe leg injury during a WCW pay-per-view event almost ended Sid’s career. Despite this setback, his resilience led to a return to the ring, although in a more limited capacity. He continued to wrestle on the independent circuit until his final match in 2017.
