The young driver and his two underage passengers were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Supporters have joined in expressing their sorrow and paying tribute to Cavalcanti. A fan commented, “May God comfort the hearts of his family. Andre needs our prayers now. If you can, light a candle and pray for him so he will know how much we loved him here on earth.”
