The incident occurred in Henrico County, Virginia, where Crittenden, a mother of three, was found unresponsive in her bedroom by her mother and stepfather following a tip from a family friend.
Henrico County Police report that emergency responders were dispatched after receiving an urgent call. Despite attempts by paramedics to revive her through CPR, Crittenden was declared dead at the scene. Investigations into the cause of death are ongoing, although it is known that Crittenden was battling several health conditions such as diabetes, kidney issues, and hypertension.
Misty, Autumn Crittenden’s sister, publicized the tragic news via Facebook, expressing deep sorrow and loss. Misty eulogized Autumn for her determination to stay sober during challenging times and for her dedication as a mother. This post was later removed, but not before it was archived by Starcasm, a prominent entertainment news site.
Crittenden first came into the public eye in 2014 when she was featured on the fifth season of “16 and Pregnant.” The show chronicled her pregnancy and the birth of her first child, Drake, as well as her struggles with her then-boyfriend Dustin Franklin. Franklin, who was jobless and frequently used marijuana, eventually broke up with Autumn, leading her to sue him for child support.
Crittenden had two more children, a daughter named Abigail and a son named Luke. Details regarding their exact ages or the identity of their father have not been disclosed.
