Pop star Jennifer Lopez, 54, is under investigation for new claims of diva-like conduct, as her career and personal life face significant upheaval. Reports suggest that Lopez enforces a unique rule amongst her crew and limo drivers: no eye contact is allowed.

Insiders have disclosed that Lopez insists her staff, encompassing backstage personnel and limo drivers, refrain from making eye contact with her. A friend of a backstage worker at a Lopez concert shared, “All of the workers were strictly instructed: DO. NOT. LOOK. AT. MS. LOPEZ. There’s to be NO. EYE. CONTACT.” A similar instruction was allegedly given to employees at Mohegan Sun Casino, according to another source.

The eye contact prohibition reportedly extends to limousine drivers as well. An insider shared, “Her limo drivers were instructed the same, they couldn’t even look at her in their rearview mirrors.” The ban is not limited to concert venues but also includes locations where Lopez shoots commercials and music videos. A staff member at a Californian ski resort was reportedly told to avoid eye contact while Lopez was filming a car commercial.

Media personality Meghan McCain has previously highlighted Lopez’s reputation for making demanding requests. On her podcast, “Citizen McCain”, she labeled Lopez a “deeply unpleasant person” and recounted a 2019 incident when Lopez brought a “huge” entourage to “The View,” describing it as “larger than the president’s.” McCain pointed out the stark difference between Lopez and other high-profile guests on the show, emphasizing that Lopez’s demands and entourage were excessive.

A story about Lopez halting a production to dismiss an audio technician for making eye contact with her was also shared by a podcaster, LABellatini, on TikTok. LABellatini added, “I have 15 more stories like this.”

Lopez has recently faced professional challenges, including the cancellation of her upcoming tour and rumors of problems in her marriage with Ben Affleck. The recent claims of her high-maintenance demands add to these difficulties, portraying an image of a star battling to uphold her public persona amid increasing criticism.
