Barrett Blade, spouse of Stormy Daniels, known for her accusations against former President Donald Trump, has announced that the couple may exit the United States. He said the decision was dependent on the results of Trump’s trial concerning hush-money payments connected to Daniels’ claim of a previous sexual encounter with Trump.
Trump was convicted on 34 counts.
In a conversation with CNN’s OutFront on May 14, 2024, Blade, who also has a career in the adult film industry, discussed the possible relocation. He spoke about the intense public interest Daniels has attracted since she went public with her allegations.
The trial took place in New York City. The case focused on a payment of $130,000 that Daniels received to keep her quiet shortly before the 2016 presidential election. The accusation was that Trump, through his former lawyer Michael Cohen, arranged the payment and then attempted to disguise the transaction as a legal expense.
Blade’s remarks hinted at a challenging future regardless of the trial’s verdict. He anticipates ongoing hostility from Trump’s supporters and expressed their desire for a tranquil existence, despite doubts about the feasibility of such a life under the present circumstances.
Daniels, legally known as Stephanie Clifford, gave comprehensive testimony during the trial, revealing explicit details of her alleged affair and interactions with Trump. Her account included a claim that she spanked Trump with a magazine featuring his image and she provided detailed descriptions of their alleged sexual encounter. The judge advised caution due to the explicit nature of her testimony.
Concerns about safety led Daniels to wear a bulletproof vest to court. Her lawyer, Clark Brewster, expressed worry about possible threats from extremists, underscoring the gravity of the situation. The couple believe now that the trial is over and Trump has been convicted, their lives could be in danger of harassment, or worse.
