The family of Janelle and Kody Brown, the popular stars of “Sister Wives,” are mourning following the death of their son, Robert Garrison Brown, in Flagstaff, Arizona. Garrison was only 25 years old.
Known as Garrison to his loved ones, the young man’s death was reportedly due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound, marking a tragic turn of events for the family who have been in the spotlight for years.
Garrison’s death was confirmed by the Flagstaff Police Department, Arizona, which responded to a distress call at his residence on March 5, 2024. When the officers arrived, they were greeted by Garrison’s brother, Gabriel, who had found Garrison’s body.
This tragic loss has resonated not only with Garrison’s immediate family but also with the wider community and fans of the TLC reality show “Sister Wives,” which has been following the polygamous Brown family since it first aired in 2010.
The show “Sister Wives” primarily centers around the life of 55-year-old Kody, his wife Robyn Sullivan, and his former wives Janelle Brown, Meri Barber, and Christine Allred. The extensive family includes 18 children and six grandchildren. In 2023, Janelle ended her 29-year-long “spiritual marriage” with Kody.
Audiences were first introduced to Garrison in 2010 through the TLC series, which offered a glimpse into the everyday life of this unique family.
The popular reality series started in Lehi, Utah, then moved to Las Vegas in 2011 before finally settling in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2018. Garrison’s personal growth, ambitions, and struggles were shared with the audience throughout the series, earning him a dedicated fan base.
Despite the fame and attention, Garrison led a life of both achievement and personal challenge. His service in the National Guard is a testament to his dedication, and his entrepreneurial efforts, such as starting an online clothing store, display his business acumen. However, he also grappled with personal issues, including a strained relationship with his father, Kody, especially in recent years due to family disagreements, including those related to COVID-19 protocols.
In one of his recent social media posts, Garrison shared a picture of his newly adopted cat, “Ms. Buttons,” who he saved from euthanasia. He humorously attributed this act to his savior complex and used the hashtag “#crazycatlady.”
TLC, the network that airs “Sister Wives,” has expressed its deepest condolences to the Brown family, a sentiment that is shared by countless fans and viewers who have been following the family’s journey over the years.
