On February 15, 2024, Lisa Lopez-Galvan, age 43, was killed during the festivities marking the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl triumph. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department indicated that the shooting took place near Union Station, resulting in 22 other injuries besides Lopez-Galvan. Swift, known globally for her music and philanthropic endeavors, donated $100,000 to the GoFundMe campaign established to support Lopez-Galvan’s family. The donation, confirmed by a representative of Swift on the morning of February 16, was split into two $50,000 contributions.
