“Star Trek” Character Actor Dies at 49

Mitchell succumbed to complications associated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a disease he had been bravely battling for the past five and a half years.

Mitchell’s acting career was marked by an array of dynamic roles, from his portrayal of numerous Klingons in “Star Trek: Discovery”, to Carol Danvers’ father in “Captain Marvel” and Joshua Dodd in “Nancy Drew.” His capability to infuse complexity and depth into his characters made him a cherished figure in the entertainment world.
