On December 30, Cindy Morgan, celebrated for her roles in “Caddyshack” and “Tron,” passed away at the age of 69.

The Sheriff’s Office of Palm Beach County, Florida, reported that Morgan’s death was due to natural causes. She was discovered lifeless in her room by a roommate.

Morgan, born Cynthia Ann Cichorski in 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, had a significant impact on the entertainment industry. She started her media career reporting weather on a TV station in Rockford, Illinois, and also worked the night shift at a radio station. Later, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career, adopting Cindy Morgan as her stage name.

Her career-defining role came in 1980 with the sports comedy “Caddyshack,” where she portrayed Lacey Underall, the attractive niece of a country club owner. This performance, alongside noted actors such as Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, and Rodney Dangerfield, was a turning point in her career.

Besides “Caddyshack,” Morgan is also remembered for her dual roles in the groundbreaking 1982 sci-fi film “Tron” where she played Lora and Yori. The film was distinguished for its pioneering use of video games and computer graphics.

Morgan’s acting career spanned across film and television, including films such as “Up Yours,” “Silent Fury,” “American Gigolo,” “Amanda & The Alien,” and “Galaxis.” Her television roles included appearances on “Mancuso, FBI,” “The Larry Sanders Show,” “Under Suspicion,” “The Love Boat,” “CHiPs,” “Bring ‘Em Back Alive,” “The Fall Guy,” “Falcon Crest,” “Matlock,” “Hunter,” and “The Highwayman.”

Morgan was also dedicated to charity work, particularly to supporting U.S. military personnel, helping alleviate the financial strain on families affected by the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Her commitment to this cause was influenced by her father, a World War II veteran.

In her later career, Morgan provided voice work for a 2022 film, where she voiced a character’s mother. She also performed voiceover work for the “Tron” franchise and appeared in several short films and video games.

Currently, the specifics regarding posthumous arrangements for Morgan are limited. Her body is reportedly at a funeral facility in Florida.
