A 30-year-old Brazilian gospel singer collapsed and died on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, during a live performance in Feira de Santana, Brazil, leaving the music world and his fans in shock.

The concert, being broadcast online, was being held in a concert hall in Feira de Santana, a city in northeastern Brazil.

Pedro Henrique was performing at a religious event when he suddenly fell on his back, a moment captured on camera and witnessed by a live audience.

Henrique, known for his engaging stage presence, was in the middle of singing his hit song ‘Vai Ser Tão Lindo’ at the time of the incident.

As he approached the front of the stage, engaging with the audience, he collapsed, prompting immediate assistance from attendees and band members.

He was rushed to a nearby clinic, where he was declared dead. Henrique’s record label, Todah Music confirmed his death as a heart attack.

He is survived by his wife, Suilan Barreto, a gospel influencer, and his daughter, Zoe, born on October 19. Barreto had not made any public statements regarding the incident as of Thursday.

Henrique’s passion for music began at an early age. He started his professional career in 2015 by uploading songs to his YouTube channel. He initially joined a local band, with whom he recorded the album ‘Grande é o Senhor.’

The wake and funeral for Henrique will be held in Porto Seguro, Bahia, his birthplace. His recent single “Medley: Levanta / Não Fica Assim / Descendência (Ao Vivo)” was released posthumously.
