A 35-year-old mother of two fell from the 36th floor of The Brittany, an upscale apartment complex located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side in New York. The incident took place on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Law enforcement sources revealed that Alina Page had an argument with her husband, Brian Page, shortly before her fall, which was reportedly about her drinking habits. Brian Page, an orthopedic surgeon, stated he wasn’t at the scene when the fall occurred and declined to comment further on their disagreement.
Brian Page, in a statement to The Post, conveyed his sorrow, calling Alina “the love of my life, my soulmate,” and expressing his devastation. The couple was close to their 16th wedding anniversary, which would have been 11 days after the incident.
Alina Page was found at the intersection of York Avenue and East 92nd Street around 6:45 p.m., showing injuries indicative of a significant fall. She was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical condition but later succumbed to her injuries.
The Brittany, known for its panoramic views of the East and Harlem rivers and proximity to Gracie Mansion, is reputed for its safety features, including a 4-foot-tall railing on the roof and child-safe windows that don’t fully open.
The Pages had relocated from Temple, Texas, to New York City in 2021. Alina Page, originally from Russia, often posted pictures on Facebook with her children, portraying a happy family life.
The New York Police Department has not classified the incident as a suicide, and the investigation into her death is ongoing.
