Officers from the New York City Police Department, arriving at her residence following a 911 call from the super at 8:00 pm, pronounced her dead at the scene.

The cause of Gomez’s death, as stated by the Medical Examiner’s Office, was chronic alcohol use. The circumstances surrounding her death are not being treated as suspicious, with no evidence of any criminal involvement, according to law enforcement.
