On October 15, 2023, a renowned actress known for her iconic roles in popular TV sitcoms passed away at her home at the age of 76.

Known to many as Chrissy Snow from “Three’s Company,” Suzanne Somers lived with breast cancer for 23 years since her diagnosis in her early 50s. Instead of opting for chemotherapy, she turned to alternative treatments.

By the middle of 2022, she revealed that the cancer had returned, and she combined both alternative and traditional therapies in her fight.

Starting her acting career with a role in “American Graffiti” in 1973, she soon became a household name with her role as Chrissy Snow, which she portrayed from 1977 to 1981. Outside of her on-screen roles, Somers was also recognized in the fields of business, wellness, and writing. She wrote several health-oriented books and played a key role in the popularization of the ThighMaster exercise apparatus.

Furthermore, she was an active proponent of an organic, chemical-free lifestyle as a strategy against cancer. She remained steadfast in her advocacy for alternative health options despite facing challenges.

In her final days, she was surrounded by family. A day before what would have been her 77th birthday, her husband, Alan Hamel, gifted her a handwritten poem coupled with her preferred pink peonies.

Her untimely passing led many in the entertainment industry to express their grief and share fond memories of Somers.

The upcoming week will witness her private burial, with a public memorial service planned for the following month to honor the remarkable life of Suzanne Somers.
