Patrick J. Adams, renowned for his role in the TV series “Suits,” recently shared past photos from his tenure on the show, some of which included Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. Following the post, Adams promptly removed the images and extended an apology.

Adams’ intention behind the photos was to recollect the memories from their time on “Suits.” However, he soon realized the ill-timing of his posts. This was highlighted by backlash he received, notably from the Screen Actors Guild union (SAG-AFTRA). Sharing these images was perceived as promotional, a move that went against the recent union strike.

During the strike, SAG-AFTRA members were advised against promotional undertakings for the shows under strike.

An additional concern was whether Adams had secured consent from Meghan Markle before posting. Some sources suggested that this was not the case. Considering the recent adverse media attention around Meghan, not seeking her approval could be viewed as a privacy violation. Reflecting on this, Adams mentioned their deep-rooted friendship, indicating he should have acted more thoughtfully.

Although rumors suggest Meghan’s team might have played a role in the photo removal due to image concerns, no official statement has been made. The central issues remain: Meghan’s privacy and upholding the union’s guidelines during the strike. In his public statement, Adams highlighted his dedication to the union and clarified the true intentions behind his posts.
