Mystery of Man Found in London Freezer

Two years after the discovery of a man’s remains in a basement freezer in London, local authorities continue their pursuit for answers. The unidentified man was later revealed to be Roy Bigg, who had been missing since 2012.

In a building that previously functioned as a wine bar, construction workers made the shocking discovery on October 15, 2021. Bigg’s identification was confirmed through dental records. He was estimated to be around 70 years old at the time of his death.

Despite extensive investigations and multiple media appeals, the identity of Bigg’s killer remains a mystery. Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen has expressed that while they have gathered substantial details about Bigg’s life, they still need the public’s help to identify the person or individuals responsible for his death.

One of the major gaps in the case is the lack of sightings or information about Bigg’s whereabouts between 2012 and 2021. There have been no confirmed sightings or reports about Bigg during this period, leaving almost a decade of his life unaccounted for.

Given the time Bigg was missing and the circumstances of his discovery, it’s believed that he may have been in the freezer for several years. The exact cause of death, however, remains inconclusive despite medical examinations.

The location where Bigg’s body was found, an unused wine bar in Forest Gate, east London, is also of interest. Authorities hope that by retracing Bigg’s steps and speaking to people familiar with his habits, they might establish when he was last seen alive.

In a bid to gather more information and finally bring justice to Roy Bigg, the Metropolitan Police have announced a substantial reward. A total of £20,000 is being offered to anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest, charge, and prosecution of those responsible for his death.

Authorities urge anyone with knowledge, no matter how minor it might seem, to come forward and assist in this investigation.
