On Tuesday morning, October 24, 2023, in Santiago, Chile, a well-known figure, recognized from her presence on TikTok, was executed by an unidentified masked assailant.

Sabrina Durán, age 24, was fatally shot in Santiago, while walking to a nail salon in Padre Hurtado.

Known as “Ina, the Narco Queen” for her past dealings in drug activities, Durán was confronted by three men before being shot multiple times by a masked gunman. A bystander captured the chilling moments on video, showing Durán lying face down and trying to get up, just before the gunman fired. Her car was used by the gunman for a quick departure from the scene.

Initial reports are not clear about the motive for this shooting, but people close to the case suggest it may have been about “settling scores.” The specifics of who wanted Durán dead remain cloudy. Shortly after the incident, her car was discovered on fire in the town of Quilicura, either to destroy potential evidence or as a symbol.

Police major Leonel Muñoz stated that they are broadening their investigation to consider more potential reasons behind the act. Further updates are expected as police continue to unravel the sequence of events leading up to the attack.

Sabrina Durán had a known criminal history. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term in 2022 for drug trafficking. While in prison, she also tried to escape with other inmates by leaping from the prison’s third floor but was quickly caught and returned.

In addition to her criminal actions, Durán had a notable presence on TikTok. She had amassed a following of over 467,000 people since 2021, focusing on beauty product promotions. Just a day prior to the tragic event, Durán had posted a review of products from DCM Cosmetic, combining her online influence with her notorious background.
