In San Antonio, officers responded to reports of a suspicious person around 10:15 pm on Friday, October 13, 2023. Bradley Adam Dimmick, 35, was detained for initial questioning concerning a potential vehicle burglary. It was during this interrogation that Dimmick made a chilling confession: “I just killed somebody.” He directed the police to a residence on the 2100 block of San Lucas Street, claiming he had taken the life of a man there.

Upon arriving at the specified address, the San Antonio police discovered a harrowing scene. Visible traces of blood marked the floor. Near the entrance, they found a dog with a fatal stomach wound. But the most macabre discovery was in the living room: the decapitated body of 65-year-old Keith Bryan Dimmick, also with a stomach wound. The intestines of both the man and the dog were visible. The severed head of the victim was later located in the bathtub.

Interestingly, both Bradley Adam Dimmick and Keith Dimmick share the same surname. The former’s address is listed as the San Lucas Street residence where the grim events transpired. Further examination revealed that Keith was a relative of Bradley, although the exact nature of their relationship has yet to be detailed by authorities.

The home was equipped with three surveillance cameras, with one specifically aimed at the area where Keith Dimmick’s body was found. At this moment, it remains uncertain if this camera was recording during the incident.

To pinpoint the event’s timing, the police examined a cell phone they believe belonged to Keith Dimmick. The device showed missed call notifications starting from 9:19 am on October 13.

Bradley Adam Dimmick is now in custody, facing charges of first-degree murder and cruelty to a non-livestock animal for the dog’s death. Court records indicate that he is being held at the Bexar County Jail, with bail set at $1.5 million.
