A 17-year-old Texas teen, previously believed to be kidnapped, has been located and is now facing murder charges. Natalie Navarro is connected to the case along with Yordy Martinez, a 21-year-old man who remains missing.

The Garland Police Department has implicated both individuals in the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Arturo Pena.

On the morning of Friday, September 1, the Dallas Police Department initiated an AMBER Alert for Navarro, after her disappearance from an east Dallas apartment. While the AMBER Alert was in effect, she was already suspected in the killing of Pena. Navarro was subsequently found in Webb County within an hour.

Due to the gravity of the associated crimes, Navarro will face the legal system as an adult. Webb County Jail records show her bond is set at $1,000,000.

Yordy Martinez, the 21-year-old initially believed to have abducted Navarro, is still on the run and is additionally a suspect in Pena’s killing.

The public is advised to exercise caution as Martinez, who might be driving a gray four-door vehicle, is deemed to be armed and perilous. One identifying feature of his is a missing front tooth. Past records highlight Martinez’s criminal involvements, which include a felony charge for discharging a firearm within a residence the previous year.

The deceased, Pena, a resident of Mesquite, Texas, was found in a car at Audubon Park on August 29 with a gunshot wound. His family had reported him missing just two days before the grim discovery. The precise nature of the relationship between Pena, Navarro, and Martinez is yet to be determined.
