Prince Harry Skips Dad’s Invite to Gathering on Queen’s Death Anniversary

September 8, 2022 marked the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s passing. On this day, Prince Harry opted not to attend a gathering called by his father, King Charles, at Scotland’s Balmoral Castle. King Charles’ invitation was perceived by many as an attempt to reconnect, particularly on this poignant date. The prince’s reason for his non-attendance was cited as an overlapping travel commitment.

Before the scheduled family visit to Balmoral, Prince Harry spent some personal time at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth is interred. Following that, his next destination was Germany to participate in the Invictus Games, and he was later joined by his spouse, Meghan Markle.

Discussing the matter, Ingrid Seward, Majesty Magazine’s top editor, pointed out that, typically, an invitation of this magnitude should take precedence over other plans.

In a related development, Prince Harry had made an earlier request for a one-night stay and security measures in London, which wasn’t granted.

The evolving dynamics between Prince Harry and the Royal family continue to be a topic of discussion. The recent invitation by King Charles is a testament to the intricate relationships within the family.
