On Monday, September 4, a car crashed at a Denny’s restaurant in Rosenberg, a suburb of Houston, Texas.
The incident occurred around 11:20 am when a driver crashed a vehicle into the restaurant. As a result, 23 people inside sustained injuries.
Local authorities transported all injured parties to nearby hospitals. Fortunately, none of the injuries were life-threatening. They varied in severity, with some people having minor cuts while others had more serious injuries.
The Rosenberg Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances of the crash. The driver involved in the incident did not sustain any injuries.
Reports indicate that the age range of the victims spanned from a 12-year-old to people in their 70s. Among those affected were Roy Rodriguez, 79, and his wife Margaret, 77.
Recollecting the events, Roy said they were finishing their meal and sipping coffee when the car entered the building.
He described the scene, noting the presence of blood. Following the incident, both were taken to the hospital.
Roy was discharged after receiving stitches, while Margaret remained hospitalized due to a broken leg.
