A man was fatally shot at a popular trampoline park in Timonium, Maryland on Saturday evening, August 12, sparking fear and confusion among families and staff present.

Baltimore County Police have charged 30-year-old Quinton Walker with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting. The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Marcus Whitehead.

The incident took place at the indoor Sky Zone Trampoline Park, where officers responded to reports of shots fired at around 7 pm. Upon arrival, police discovered Whitehead suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

According to investigators, there was no ongoing threat to the community, and the shooter appeared to know the victim. Witnesses at the scene, including young children, were safely reunited with their families.

Locals expressed shock and disbelief at the incident, which took place at a venue associated with family fun. “Who would bring a gun and why would they bring a gun if it’s something where kids play at? I don’t understand that,” said Cecelia Griffin, a nearby worker.

The Baltimore County Violent Crime Unit is now handling the ongoing investigation.
