Mystery: 3 Men Found Dead in a Car Outside School

Three lifeless bodies were discovered inside a parked vehicle near Jonathan Jennings School 109 in Indianapolis on Monday morning, August 14. 

The scene unfolded around 8:15 a.m., leading to a prompt response from local authorities. According to reports, school buses for the elementary school were rerouted from the area to shield young pupils from the sight. 

Although no apparent signs of physical harm were found on the victims, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has yet to disclose the circumstances that led to the three men’s deaths. One of the deceased has been identified as Josue Alexander Lezama Vargas, 28, and it has been confirmed that all three were adults. 

Another man, found alive in the same vehicle was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital. At present, no immediate updates about his condition have been provided. 

The sole survivor in the vehicle was reported as being “intoxicated,” according to statements from the Indianapolis school district. However, specific details of the nature of his intoxication were not divulged. 

A statement from Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) acknowledged the incident’s occurrence and confirmed the safety of the school’s students. “IPS is aware of an incident this morning outside of Jonathan Jennings School 109,” the statement read. It continued, “A car, with several deceased individuals and one intoxicated person inside, was parked on a lot at the school.” 

Authorities and the school district remain focused on providing information and ensuring the security of the school’s students.
