Alex Collins, previously a running back in the NFL, tragically passed away at age 28 due to a motorcycle accident in Miami, Florida.

Collins was on his Suzuki Motor GSX-R600K when he collided with the rear side of a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban SUV, leading to him being thrown through the vehicle’s window. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the accident site. The accident took place shortly before he would have turned 29 on August 26.

Collins’ NFL career began when the Seattle Seahawks drafted him in the fifth round in 2016. After a year with the Seahawks, he transitioned to the Baltimore Ravens, where he played from 2017 to 2018.

Known for his unique interest in Irish dancing, he utilized the art form to enhance his athletic prowess. Robert Griffin III, an ex-teammate from Baltimore, honored Collins by sharing an Irish dance video featuring the late athlete. Griffin conveyed his appreciation for the time they had together.

Russell Wilson, formerly a colleague at the Seahawks, remembered Collins on social media. Following his death, condolences poured in from the NFL, Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, and Arkansas Razorbacks. Collins’ representative, Kelli Masters, paid tribute to his resilient spirit.
