A video has emerged showing a chaotic scene on a Ryanair flight destined for Ibiza, instigated by an intoxicated woman.
The altercation occurred on Monday, August 21, at 3 pm before the departure from Manchester, United Kingdom.
The passenger, identified by her pink top, engaged in an argument with another passenger, escalating to physical aggression, captured on video by fellow traveler Lyndsay Cash.
The woman was eventually restrained in a headlock after making repeated threats. The situation intensified with some men, believed to be related to the woman, getting involved. An individual in a green shirt attempted to mediate.
Lyndsay Cash, a Wigan-based beautician, mentioned the woman’s disruptive behavior beginning at boarding time. She also criticized the airline’s handling of the situation, saying the passenger should not have been let on the plane.
Following the incident, Greater Manchester police intervened, ejecting four individuals, including the woman, from the plane. The culprits were apprehended, with three facing charges for intoxication and assaulting police.
Ryanair conveyed its regret over the incident, emphasizing that it was now a matter for the police.
