A well-known French daredevil met his end in Hong Kong while performing a stunt in a high-rise building.
Remi Lucidi, 30, also known as Remi Enigma, tragically fell from the 68th floor of the Tregunter Tower complex in Hong Kong during a daring climb.
Lucidi arrived at the building around 6 pm, stating he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor. However, when the supposed friend denied knowing him, suspicions were aroused. Despite a security officer’s efforts to stop him, Lucidi successfully accessed an elevator. He was later seen on the 49th floor in security footage, from where he proceeded to climb the stairs towards the rooftop.
The unfortunate incident occurred at approximately 7:38 pm when Lucidi was seen tapping on the window of the complex’s penthouse. A maid noticed him and promptly alerted the police. Investigators speculate that Lucidi may have been trapped outside the penthouse and was seeking assistance before his fatal fall.
Lucidi’s camera was found at the scene, containing footage of his previous daring feats. The official cause of his death is still pending.
Those who knew Lucidi remember him as a friendly and modest individual. A hostel worker recalled his vacation plans, stating that he had intended to hike up a mountain during his stay in Hong Kong.
The extreme sports community is mourning the loss of one of their own, with fans expressing their condolences online.
