Four people, including two young brothers aged three and six, sustained injuries during a shooting spree by a man on a scooter on Tuesday, July 11, at St. James Park on E. 193rd Street in Fordham, New York City.

Police disclosed that a lone gunman on a scooter embarked on a shooting spree, injuring unsuspecting bystanders.

According to police sources, two individuals dressed entirely in black rode an unregistered scooter to the bustling local park in the Bronx. Upon arrival, the passenger got off and indiscriminately fired shots into the crowd.

Among the victims were two young boys, who happened to be in the area at the time of the incident with their mother. The six-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, while the three-year-old received a grazing wound from a bullet.

Chief of Patrol John Chell said, “As a father and a citizen in this city, I can’t imagine this happening to my kids.”

A 25-year-old man was struck in the back and a 23-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency personnel transported all four victims to St. Barnabas Hospital. Authorities have since confirmed that the wounded individuals are expected to recover from their injuries.

The assailant responsible for the shooting fled the scene on the scooter, leaving cops grappling with unanswered questions about the motive behind the attack and whether it was targeted.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting so far. However, a comprehensive investigation is currently underway to find out the circumstances surrounding the incident.
