In a video, Dennis “D.J.” Hernandez, the brother of the late football star and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez, was captured shouting at Connecticut police to shoot him.

Captured in a video by Fox 61 during the arrest proceedings on July 19, Hernandez is seen defiantly challenging the officers outside his Bristol house. Ignoring their commands, he audibly goads the officers, shouting, “Shoot me! Shoot me!” A policeman subdued Hernandez using a stun gun.

The scene unfolded following attempts by the police to convince Hernandez to turn himself in. Instead, he threatened to resist arrest aggressively, maintaining that he was armed and ready to shoot any law enforcement officer in proximity. The accusations against Hernandez revolve around his alleged plan to instigate shootings at Brown University and the University of Connecticut.

A tip-off from a supposed former girlfriend of Hernandez indicated that he used her vehicle under false pretenses on July 7 to scope out the campuses. On the day of his arrest, Hernandez reportedly made threatening posts on social media, singling out the University of Connecticut, where he previously played college football.

Presently, Hernandez faces charges including second-degree breach of peace and physical threats, with bail set at $250,000. This incident marks his fourth arrest this year, with prior charges involving a police chase, a threat against ESPN’s Bristol outpost, and a missed court appearance.
