A street party in Saginaw, Michigan, about 102 miles northwest of Detroit, turned into a scene of violence on June 25, leaving two people dead and a dozen injured.
The victims have been identified as a 19-year-old male and a 51-year-old woman. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, shortly after midnight.
State police reports suggest the gathering had been widely promoted on social media, drawing a large crowd. Initial estimates indicate that around 200 people were present when law enforcement officials began to disperse the crowd. However, before the situation could be fully resolved, chaos ensued.
Gunfire broke out amidst the street party, inciting panic as attendees scattered in search of safety. In the ensuing commotion, three people were struck by vehicles and sustained injuries. The investigation has since revealed that multiple firearms were discharged during the incident, involving a total of five distinct weapons.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
