Prince Harry could be welcomed back into the royal family, but without his wife Meghan Markle, according to royal expert Jennie Bond.
Bond believes that if Harry were to return to the UK, his family would forgive him and accept him back, despite the ongoing feud within the royal institution. However, she acknowledges that this possibility is currently unlikely. Bond emphasizes that there is still goodwill towards the old Harry that people remember, and given time, he could regain lost ground and be welcomed back.
She doesn’t see it happening in the near future.
Bond’s comments align with those of Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, who suggests that the British people would welcome Harry back with open arms. Burrell believes that when Harry does return, his father, the King, and his brother will be glad to have him back.
Grant Harrold, former butler to King Charles, also states that a return to the UK is possible for Harry and Meghan in the future. He also said it was possible since Meghan doesn’t have a family in the UK Harry might buy a property in the UK for visits without her. The Sussexes left royal life in 2020 and moved to California, only making a few visits back to the UK since then.
