The former spouse of a contestant on the popular game show Family Feud allegedly voiced fears for her life prior to her murder.
The accused, Timothy W. Bliefnick, 39, is facing charges of the alleged murder of his estranged wife, Rebecca Bliefnick, 41, in her Quincy, Illinois residence. They were undergoing a divorce at the time.
Bliefnick, facing charges of first-degree murder and home invasion, has pleaded not guilty. During the ongoing trial, witnesses for the prosecution, including Rebecca’s sister, Sarah Reilly, have testified to clarify the circumstances of her death.
Sarah Reilly disclosed that Rebecca had indicated her fears of potential harm from Timothy. She revealed that Rebecca had texted her in September 2021, expressing her worry and naming Timothy as the primary suspect if anything befell her.
The prosecution has introduced evidence that Timothy Bliefnick made disturbing internet searches around the time of Rebecca’s supposed murder. These included queries about prying open a window with a crowbar, making a homemade silencer, and local police response times.
Rebecca’s father, William Postle, discovered Rebecca’s body in her bathroom on February 23 after she failed to retrieve her three children from school. Timothy Bliefnick was charged with her murder approximately two and a half weeks later.
The prosecution alleges that Timothy forced his way into Rebecca’s upstairs bedroom using a crowbar and subsequently shot her multiple times.
Timothy Bliefnick and various family members had previously appeared on Family Feud. During their 2020 episode, host Steve Harvey asked Timothy about his biggest wedding mistake, to which he humorously responded, “Honey, I love you, but, ‘Said I do.'”
