An 83-year-old man from Texas has been charged with murder after admitting to the fatal shooting of his 78-year-old ex-girlfriend during an argument about her new romantic relationship.
The Rowlett Police Department received a distress call reporting an unresponsive individual at the residence of Sharon Radebaugh on Seafield Lane, Rowlett, Texas. Upon their arrival, the police discovered the lifeless body of Radebaugh, who had been fatally shot once. Investigators concluded that this was not a random act of violence, but a crime originating from a previous relationship.
The focus of the investigation turned to Wilson Elliot, a resident of Trinity, Texas – a small city approximately three hours’ drive from Rowlett. With assistance from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department and the Texas Rangers, Rowlett police managed to arrest Elliot within a day of the incident. Elliot confessed to the shooting during his arrest, revealing it was the outcome of an argument over Sharon’s new relationship. He now faces a murder charge and is being held on a $1 million bond.
