Newly released footage shows former Fox News host Tucker Carlson engaged in inappropriate behavior and making offensive comments, including referring to a woman as “yummy” while taping his popular show.
The leaked video, obtained by Media Matters for America, captures a conversation between Carlson and fellow Fox host Piers Morgan.
In the video, Carlson expressed his interest in discussing specific sexual techniques if they were brought up on the show, while acknowledging that the decision ultimately rested with Morgan as the host. Morgan responded by playfully mentioning Carlson’s recent segment on masculinity and making a quip about his “tanning testicles.” Another leaked video shows Carlson off-camera, jokingly remarking that he found someone’s girlfriend “yummy” but quickly clarifying that he was only kidding and mocking the possibility of the footage being leaked to Media Matters.
A third leaked video captures Carlson’s derogatory comments about his “post-menopausal fans.” These leaked remarks surfaced shortly after Carlson’s departure from the network, causing significant shockwaves in the media and political spheres. Speculation has arisen about the role of Carlson’s private messages and comments about network leadership in his departure, though these reports remain unconfirmed.
While The New York Times had previously reported Carlson’s “yummy” comment based on an anonymous source, the video evidence was only made public on May 2. Carlson faces a workplace harassment lawsuit filed by former Fox producer Abby Grossberg, who was terminated just before the network settled a substantial defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems for $787 million. Grossberg has threatened to release additional recordings exposing misconduct by top hosts and executives at Fox.
Fox News has not publicly disclosed the reasons for parting ways with Carlson. Following his departure, Carlson briefly broke his silence by sharing a cryptic video message on Twitter. He criticized both political parties, and their donors for conspiring to suppress conversations about their shared interests.
In response to Grossberg’s allegations, Fox vehemently denied her claims, labeling them baseless and expressing their intent to defend against them.
