If King Charles gets his way, Prince Andrew may soon have to find a new place to live, according to a recent scoop.
Since 2002, Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, have been calling the ritzy 30-bedroom Royal Lodge their home. But even after King Charles ordered him to leave the $37 million estate last month, Andrew is digging in his heels and refusing to move out.
Rumor has it that Andrew is getting nervous that King Charles might flip the switch on the electricity at the Windsor residence to force him out. Insiders reveal that he’s anxious about the family cutting off utilities to get him to leave. It seems that Charles is trying to convince Andrew to relocate to Frogmore Cottage, which used to be the home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Once Andrew leaves, the Royal Lodge is set to become the new residence for Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children.
Andrew is hoping to hash things out with his brother face-to-face.
Back in 2022, Queen Elizabeth stripped Andrew of his royal and military titles because of his connection to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew withdrew from his duties in 2019 after facing accusations of sexual abuse. However, he made an appearance at Charles’ coronation on May 6, donning his royal Order of the Garter robes (on top of a suit) and accompanying ornaments, because he is still one of the “Garter Knights”.
As expected, Prince Andrew did not accompany the working royals on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Though he was allowed to pose for the official coronation portraits, insiders say it’s unlikely that his photos will be released to the public. However, Andrew was given permission to wear his sacred robes during the photo session. Sources claim that Andrew wanted the photos taken to ensure there’s an official record of him being a part of his brother’s crowning moment.
