As the legendary Clint Eastwood continues his more than year-long disappearance from the public eye, friends and fans of the 92-year-old actor and filmmaker are growing increasingly concerned about his well-being.
The Western movie icon’s lengthy absence has led many to worry about his health, especially since he’s been out of sight for 455 days. Eastwood is currently gearing up for his final film, a thriller called “Juror No. 2,” featuring Toni Collette and Nicholas Hoult. But his extended break has sparked fears that his health might be on the decline.
For younger folks who may not be familiar with Eastwood’s major impact on the film world, he played a huge part in making Western films popular. His movie “Unforgiven” is considered the best Western of all time.
A source told Radar Online that although Eastwood has always been pretty active and healthy for his age, his recent retreat from the limelight has raised eyebrows in Hollywood, with some even calling him a “recluse.” The insider also mentioned that Eastwood usually takes on a ton of work, and while he’s set to direct and compose the score for his upcoming film, his involvement in almost every aspect of the project has heightened concerns about his health.
Eastwood has thought about retiring from Hollywood for good before, but he’s confessed that he can’t resist a good script. Since directing “Gran Torino” in 2008, he’s worked exclusively with Warner Brothers, creating films like “American Sniper,” “Invictus,” and “Richard Jewell.” His latest film, “Cry Macho,” where he also played the lead role, was released by HBO Max and Warner Bros in September 2021.
Even though he’s been MIA, Eastwood is set to begin shooting “Juror No. 2” in June. Still, his close Hollywood pals are worried about his well-being and can’t wait for him to make a comeback in the public eye.
