During his last delivery of the day, after texting his wife and telling her he would be home soon, a delivery man was viciously murdered.

A 30-year-old man from Florida has been charged with murder after allegedly killing and dismembering an Uber Eats driver who was on a delivery run to the man’s home.

Deputies have charged Oscar Adrian Solis, Jr., 30, with murder and other offenses.

At a news conference, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco confirmed that the driver was killed during a delivery at Solis’ home in Holiday, Florida, on Wednesday, April 19.

Solis is accused of dismembering the driver and placing the man’s remains in trash bags inside a cooler. Sheriff deputies charged Solis with murder while engaging in a robbery, not registering as a convicted felon, and violating his parole. Jail records show that the assailant was released from prison in Indiana earlier this year after serving four years for assault and burglary. He started living in the Florida home about three months ago. According to Sheriff Nocco, Solis was affiliated with the violent MS-13 gang in Indiana.

Investigators figured out that while delivering an order for Solis’ father, Solis assaulted the driver and allegedly murdered him. The delivery driver’s car keys and wedding ring were reportedly found in Solis’ possession.

The victim’s abandoned vehicle was later discovered nearby, containing bloodied towels and rags in a garbage bag, a Door Dash bag, and a time card with Solis’ name. The investigation yielded additional evidence, such as blood in different parts of the residence, and the victim’s key fob. Surveillance footage also showed the victim delivering food and two males carrying large garbage bags outside.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Sheriff Nocco described the incident as a horrific and demoniacal crime of passion. According to arrest documents, Solis, who is 6’4” and 315 pounds, worked security at a strip club in Florida.

The victim’s wife reported him missing after he did not return home from making his Uber Eats deliveries, prompting the investigation. Uber provided information on the victim’s last known location at Solis’ home.

The investigation remains active, and police have not revealed the motive for the murder.
