Stormy Daniels, the former adult porn film actress who allegedly received hush money from former US President Donald Trump, responded to his recent arrest on criminal charges with a Twitter post.

“It’s definitely more fun being under my sexy man instead of under arrest,” she posted when Trump entered the New York City courtroom.

After the court appearance in New York City, the former president returned to his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach, Florida, where he gave a fiery speech on Tuesday evening, April 4 on what he termed as election interference. Trump vehemently denies ever having a sexual relationship with Daniels. She claims it took place a few months after Trump’s son Barron was born.

A few other celebrities also tweeted in celebration of Trump’s arrest, with many thanking Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for bringing the case against the former president.

Trump entered a not-guilty plea to 34 felonies over the payments made to Daniels and Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model, to conceal their alleged affairs with him. The unsealed indictment accuses Trump of falsifying records of payments made to keep their accounts of extramarital affairs from damaging his 2016 presidential campaign.

Daniels was allegedly paid $130,000 by Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, while the National Enquirer paid McDougal $150,000. Cohen served a year in prison and two in home confinement due to his part in the scheme.

Trump avoided being handcuffed or photographed for a mugshot upon his arrival and did not have to post bail under New York law because he had been charged with non-violent crimes.

Trump has been a vocal critic of Daniels, repeatedly calling her names and ridiculing her. The charges against him have come after a lengthy investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and could result in prison time if he is found guilty.

Despite the serious nature of the allegations, Daniels took the opportunity to respond to Trump’s legal troubles with a defiant and humorous message, showing that she remains unbroken by the years of scrutiny and insults she has endured.
