On March 15, a tragic incident occurred in Hackensack, New Jersey, when five female workers from a Cheesecake Factory restaurant overdosed on fentanyl-laced cocaine in the lower level parking lot of a high-end shopping mall.

Despite the efforts of first responders, 29-year-old Michelle Edoo passed away three days later.

According to a colleague of the victims, who requested anonymity, drug use in the lower level parking lot had become prevalent and depressing, prompting him to park elsewhere. The colleague stated that the situation had spiraled out of control, with varying accounts of what had transpired.

Aaron Kim, a bystander who heard about the incident, rushed to the scene and found the group unresponsive and without a pulse. Kim administered CPR to two victims while waiting for first responders and praised an unidentified nurse practitioner who knew precisely what to do in such a situation.

This tragic incident highlights the risks associated with drug use, particularly the use of fentanyl-laced drugs, which have resulted in a significant increase in overdoses. It is crucial to recognize the dangers of drug use and take appropriate precautions.

The surviving workers have not been seen by the anonymous colleague since the incident, underscoring the tragic consequences of drug use and the importance of seeking help for those struggling with addiction.
