On April 1, a Boston teenager aged 15 died while skiing at a resort in New Hampshire.
Christopher DiPrima lost his life while skiing at Henniker’s Pats Peak Ski Area. The boy’s family claims that he experienced chest pains after his fall and passed away in a “freak accident.”
Around 6:35 p.m., DiPrima and his cousin Steven Gingras were skiing when they came across a bump, and DiPrima made a bad landing. First responders took the boy to Concord Hospital, where he later died from his wounds, according to resort representatives and the teen’s cousin.
Law enforcement is investigating the teen’s cause of death.
Skiers and snowboarders are advised by the National Ski Areas Association to maintain control and pay attention to their surroundings. It also advises them to adhere to a set of safety rules for skiers and snowboarders, avoid skiing or snowboarding alone, and wear the proper safety equipment, such as helmets.
